[REAL TALK] ***The Official Prepping / Survivalist Thread***

Long over due, meant to drop this in like 2017.

I'll push for a mini forum for this eventually.

Mega thread for sharing and discussing daily preps and projects, ideas, etc.

I don't prep but I'm a outdoors guy. I have a fishing boat, float tube, all the guns and ammo you could need, my garage looks like a fishing tackle store.
Camping gear, generator ECT. 4x4 Cummins. Live in the mountains.

Figure I can hunt and fish.

This Covid pandemic made me realize I'm not ready for sht.

So far, I have a lot camp and hiking gear, canned food, guns, ammo, not enough toilet paper though.

Just got rid of my old lifted 4x4 truck, so I'm gonna have to steal one when sht hits the fan.

          When this corona panic happened.

I probably spent $10k on canned food.

Cases of canned meats, soups, stews, chilis and breads.

It's weird though the canned breads and mre breads were more expensive than canned meat. Go figure.

Cases of salt and sugar. Cases of hot sauces and chili peppers. Cases of canned coffee. Even canned cheese and canned butter. All have value for trading.

Also bought bottles and bottles of aspirin, tylenol, nyquil, etc.

Stockpiled some at my place. Rest I put at my sisters house. I have 4 nephews, 1 teen, 2 toddlers and 1 newborn. They're my priority in case anything happens.

As far as guns and ammo.

I already had tons of guns and ammo beforehand.

I loaded up on tons of ****zines freedom week.

I had holsters and chest rigs for myself but I realized I wanted holsters and chest rigs for passing out too.

I bought a bunch of kydex holsters, nylon gun belts and cheap chinese made chest rigs for my sisters, dad, friends, etc.

                Not really for me.

I'll figure out a way to survive somehow.

But the reason is mostly for my nephews. Make sure they have supplies.

That's why I stockpiled most of it at my sisters garage. Plus her house can be everyones go to in case something happened.

                  Oh and noodles.

Cases and cases of ramen, indomie, mama noodles, cuponoodles, etc.

Canned and mre bread was too expensive. I bought them initially but they weren't cost efficient.

Noodles. Next to bags of rice and beans. Noodles are cheap source of carbs.

What do you guys do about water? Just buy cases of bottles water?

Even if the plastic will eventually start leeching in?
