I've had beards in the past but it's all white now and my facial hair that used to be soft is grizzly and stiff. I was going to grow
a beard in the beginning of the shelter in place to show my grandsons but after 7 or 8 days it felt like a million ants on my face so I shave it off.
Mustaches are disgusting. I blow my nose a lot; with a mustache I'd be rubbing snot into it constantly.
However, after performing cunnilingus the odor says with you for a while, which to me is sensuous.
Worst thing about a beard is having one in cold weather. I've been in extremely cold weather with a beard and mustache; the hair ices up and makes your face colder. Breathing out your nose creates moisture and then ice on a mustache.
Finally....I have no idea how millennials/Max Kellerman/movie stars keep a very short grizzle on their face. How do you shave such that the hair stays so short? And doesn't it itch like hell?
I have a long beard that is lower than my pecs and higher than my belly button. I've been growing it for about 3 years. I also have long hair, well past my shoulders. Both the beard and the long hair are starting to feel like too much maintenance, and my beard gets caught it my coat zipper in the winter. I'll probably cut it shorter in a month or two. For some reason girls these days seem to like the extreme rocker/ bushman look. Of course there's chicks who are into the metro-***ual types but there seems to be less of them around right now. The Sasquatch look is in fashion at the moment. Get hairy, or get left behind.
