Sylvester Stallone is an absolute GARBAGE actor

The guy has the exact same depressing ass voice and depressing look. Okay the rocky series was good but that's only because of the story basically and anyone could have fit in that role. Every other movie that guy has been in has been in his acting has been straight garbage.

I would consider him an action hero, not so much an actor, similar to Arnold. Thought he did okay in Copland. But he obviously doesn't have the acting range of a Pacino or Nicholson.

You're aware that he wrote and directed Rocky, right? Go watch First Blood, he wrote and directed that also, and if he wasn't nominated for Best Actor, he should have been.

F.I.S.T. was a serious acting role for him also. Fairly sure he also wrote that one?

Rocky 1 is my only favorite film and his arthouse return with Tarver to Creed because when it comes to boxing and hard knocks it’s ironic that he’s on point writing them despite the fact that he’s a multimillionaire.

Rocky 1 is just too good. The story of a loner, a bum, who proves everyone wrong. When he looks at himself hard at his childhood picture coming home... most men should relate to that to see if the NOW is where they want to be. He gets pass because of Rocky imo.

I think he directed most of his own movies, wrote scripts, did stunts, etc. So he forced his way in.

I can't stand 99.99% of movies & think his are OK.

So maybe he just appeals to guys who normally hate movies.

To me garbage actors are guys like robert deniro. I can't handle effeminate theatre dorks cast as "intimidating". Pure cringe.

Do you prefer the new wave of action hero's? Slyvetser Stallone was a good actor.

From my perspective a action hero need's, charisma, screen presence and originality 'Stallone had all of that'.

There are classically trained actors that are probably better than Stallone in many areas, but none of them will be able play the role of Rocky Balboa 'As good as Sylvester Stallone'.
