True cost of US healthcare shocks the British public

Big pharma got the US on lock-down.

Extortionate prices and very little competition.

Not very free market or even capitalist.

I wonder about this. I work for the NHS. Why can’t we just make NHS branded drugs. The generic ones like aspirin and paracetamol. Seems like an easy win.

It annoys me that the tele in hospitals are run by private firms too. Why would you even think about putting a contract out on that for such an easy win.

Tories are just so greedy.

Try going to emergency to fix a paper cut. They will bill you thousands of $$ for a 5-minute work. Insurance will pay after you paid your high deductible. Dunno which is worse, the insurance or the hospitals that charge an arm and a leg
