Look into the Firefox extensions, they all have lots of reviews. You can even go one step further and disable all sorts of code tied to sneaky advertising. Firefox itself already blocks pop ups if you go into settings, you can also switch tracking to strict and it should block out all ads since all ads have cookie/pixel to track you for analytic reporting.

Safari is the best browser on iOS. You can install content blockers from settings-safari

Did you get your Ad blocker straightened out ?

I'm not a 'Mac' person, but AdGuard has always been the best for me. I know it works with Mobile now and Mac.
It was free for years, but now after the free trial you need to purchase a license key. It's probably worth it, depending on what you do, imo.
What have you used in the past ?
