Theories are coming out. State government(Opposition party controls it) did the capture with the DEA(surprise reunion weeks ago. Schools were suspended for rain season on the day)...Retaliation of the capos was targeted against military families, who would never have allowed peace thereafter. They wanted to bait a response by the federal government. AMLO liberated in order to stop it. It made no sense for AMLO to greenlight the capture as he has always been openly against capturing capos...He would rather take a popularity hit than risk a state in civil war and an unruly military, especially as he's trying to turn the military from a deadly to a police force...they've been training on patrolling and policing for a year now....again the only thing sure is that AMLO himself couldnt have green lit this operative or if he did so, without a doubt there was heavy US pressure...Comment
