Ive never looked into the claims of the Koran.

But ultimately its the same as every other holy book....

The idea is that God wanted the whole world to hear his message and decided the best way to do that was to get some people to write down what he said, and from there copies of this book would be hand written and shared across the world. It may take thousands of years but hopefully it will reach everyone.

Plus, if people do gain access to the Koran hopefully they will want to read it more than they want to read the other holy books. Hopefully they are just very curious and literate.
Then they must examine the claims made by the Koran, and hopefully other scientists have discovered how life came from water and how iron came from space, and have written their own books.
Then hopefully everyone will go and read all these other science books so that they can realise the Koran is indeed the word of God.

Here's my favorite verses from it:

Quran (7:81) - "Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?" This verse is part of the previous text and it establishes that *******uality as different from (and much worse than) adultery or other ***ual sin. According to the Arabic grammar, *******uality is called the worst sin, while references elsewhere describe other forms of non-marital *** as being "among great sins."

Quran (26:165-166) - "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing"

Quran (4:11) - (Inheritance) "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females" (see also verse 4:176). In Islam, ***ism is mathematically established.

Quran (2:282) - (Court testimony) "And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if ye are sick or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, then go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it" Men are to rub dirt or water on their hands to purify themselves, following casual contact with a woman (such as shaking hands).

Quran (2:223) - "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will..." A man has dominion over his wives' bodies as he does his land. This verse is overtly ***ual. There is some dispute as to whether it is referring to the practice of **** intercourse. If this is what Muhammad meant, then it would appear to contradict what he said in ****** (8:3365).

Quran (4:3) - (Wife-to-husband ratio) "Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four" Inequality by numbers.

Quran (53:27) - "Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names." Angels are sublime beings, and would therefore be male.

Quran (4:24) and Quran (33:50) - A man is permitted to take women as *** ****** outside of marriage. Note that the verse distinguishes wives from captives (those whom they right hand possesses).

I think you missed my point.

Its simple.
Those words dont authenticate themselves.

God seems su****iously limited by the means of communication of that time.

God having to rely on the long winded, tedious, ambigious research of some historians to authenticate "his true word" makes no sense.
