Is Monopoly the endgame of Capitalism?

It seems like from the perspective of corporations, monopoly is the obvious final goal. They try to outperform their competitors and put them out of business.

Amazon would win Capitalism without the government stepping in, right?

    Nope that is socialism.

The free market is what capitalism is about.

Amazon wouldn't have gotten the chance if the government didn't break up the Robberbarrons back in the day.

The free market without government intervention will lead to that.

Remember we are referring to the markets here.
i don't see anarchy happening in the markets but i see monopolies and oligopolies.

But aren't all corporations actively trying to gain infinite advantage over all competition? If any of them succeed, then there is monopoly.

They are but capitalism is about choice, the free market, competition drives progress and innovation.

A monopoly would destroy that, and they are regulations that are meant to stop that from happening

Socialism is when one corporation the govt. runs things and there is no competition.

You know anarchy is no govt, right?

And if there were no govt intervention, then there is anarchy.

They are rules and regulations to follow.

Maybe some corruptions have weakened them though.
