Greta was 21 at the time and taking a lunch break from her job in a Manhattan dental surgery.

The kiss was not “a romantic event”, she would remember in 2005, in an interview recorded for the Library of Congress Veterans History Project: “I went straight to Times Square, where I saw on the lighted bill board that goes around the building: 'VJ Day, VJ Day!…

"Suddenly, I was grabbed by a sailor. It wasn’t that much of a kiss. It was more of a jubilant act that he didn’t have to go back… to the Pacific… The reason he grabbed somebody dressed like a nurse [was] that he felt so very grateful to the nurses who took care of the wounded.”

Not true. She was a stranger so how could she like or not like him?

The sailor didn't give Friedman his name, and Friedman, 21 at the time, returned to her office, where her bosses canceled appointments for the rest of the day to celebrate.

Unbeknownst to either the sailor or her, Life photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt snapped a photo of them locking lips, and published it in the ****zine a few weeks later with the simple caption "V-J Day" and no identification of the people in it

If this went down today, it would go down as ***ual assault.

            Didn't like his actions.

If you went up in the street grabbed a random woman and forced your tongue down her throat, you don't think you would be done for ***ual assault?

She was on her lunch break walking around and the guy just grabs her and kisses her and moves on.

Over before she knew it. Shocked at what happen, but with the excitement of the day she let it go.

She didn't find it romantic, put no positive elements to the kiss Nor did she consent to the kiss.

You go out and do the same tonight to some random nurse on her lunch break and tell me how you get on.

It was during the V-J day celebration. Everyone was going crazy and being wildly happy after 5 years of war. It wasn't a dark alley on a random Wednesday night. EVERYONE was deliriously estatic.

If you are trolling, ok, ha ha. If you are serious, then go away and sulk in another thread.

When the pair reunited in Times Square in 2012, Greta said: “I did not see him approaching, and before I know it I was in this vice grip.
She actually calls his grip "vice like"

“I felt that he was very strong. He was just holding me tight. I’m not sure about the kiss. It was just somebody celebrating. It wasn’t a romantic event.

She had zero choice in being kissed and could do nothing to stop it.
