The Man who killed hitler and then Bigfoot

I noticed this movie is getting a lot of hate. A lot of people from message boards and that I recommended the movie to didn't like it, and it's getting pretty terrible reviews.

Personally, I think it was a masterpiece. It's full of intimate themes and poetic structures and is an in depth look into the soul of a hero, who's also just a human being.

It's full of ***els of wisdom that I'll probably carry with me forever.

Every scene has a purpose, every scene has a weight, and it's all tied together masterfully. I would give this an Oscar nomination over Black Panther

    One of my favorite scenes(paraphrased):

"Why do you believe anything i'm saying?"

    "Because most men live
    their whole lives one way.
And when a liar is a liar,
    he's a liar.
And when a fancy man is fancy,
    he's fancy.
    And when an honest man
    is honest... he's honest."

I have not seen it but I bet I would agree with you. I don't think people "get it". Like another movie I thought was great, Bubba Ho Tep.

Bruce campbell is the man lol

But this movie is nothing like that, it's not a b-level action cult film.

That's probably the reason a lot of people didn't like it, because it's not what they were expecting.

This movie is actually a serious, emotional drama lol, there's not a lot of action, but there's a lot of literary themes and introspection.

I caught all the themes and devices, about what it means to be a hero, and what it means to be an honest man trying to do the best he can in a flawed, unfair world.

        Spoiler post:

        This movie hit me deep.

The protagonist is the perfect hero. He saved the world twice, but it means nothing to him. All he did was do the right thing, but it cost him everything that mattered to him.

He realized, that saving the world doesn't mean anything, because no matter what you do, the world keeps turning without you, it will forget you it will exist without you.. he realized that although he thought he was doing the right thing, he would trade it all just for the simple things.

Spending time with his brother, or just being with the girl he loved... meant more than the entire world.

He struggles because doing the right thing meant giving up everything he loved, but he can't not do it.. he can't not do the right thing.. because that's what he is. He is a hero, and the hero will always be the hero.

Ok, man. I'm all in. My wife loves Sam Elliot so no problem getting her to see it.

He was very good in Star is Born and in The Hero.

If it’s on my 11 hour flight back to Cali, I’ll watch it.
My wife gets mad at me when I watch new movies that haven’t been shown in japan.

Watched it. Not good but not terrible imo. The part when he fight the bigfoot was quite comical.
