Climate can obviously be affected by what human beings do. But not to the extent that everyone thinks.

Arctic ice has been growing... This is a real statement.

The ice sheet growth and reduction is seasonal, and although the winter ice has been growing, it's offset by the increasing summer decline.
The september ice sheet has gone from 8 million square kilometers in 1980 to 4.5 million square km in 2015.
From forbes:
Over the past few decades, sea ice across the Arctic Ocean has gotten smaller and thinner. Compared to the 1980s, today's end-of-summer Arctic sea ice extent is about half. Since 1958, Arctic sea ice lost about two-thirds of its thickness, with nearly three-quarters of Arctic sea ice forming and melting each year.
The NASA research team found that in the 1980s, sea ice on average in the Arctic was 6.6 feet thick in October. From there, on average 3.3 more feet of sea ice would form through the winter. Comparing that to today, where average sea ice in the Arctic is 3.3 feet thick in October but will grow on average 5 feet more of sea ice through the winter. Hence, the combined sea ice thickness in the 1980s was 9.9 feet thick, compared to 8.3 feet thick today.Last edited by DARKSEID; 01-28-2019, 08:22 PM.

The story lies in the magnitudes of both changes. While the Arctic sea ice is growing faster and higher during the winter months, it is more than offset by the melting in the summer months. So what we've seen is that the increased rate of sea ice growth in the winter helps to mitigate the melting during the summer. However, ultimately the warming summer temperatures continue to overall reduce the extent of sea ice.

***** Resort in Ireland Will Build Seawalls to Protect Against Climate Change
President Donald *****’s golf resort will build two seawalls to protect three holes on the golf course from rising sea levels and water erosion.
PRESIDENT Donald ***** will finally get the wall he's after. However, it won't be along the U.S.-Mexico border. An Irish council on Thursday granted approval for a wall to be built around part of *****'s golf course in Doonbeg, Ireland to protect it from water erosion, The New York Times reported.
***** International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland previously applied to the Clare County Council for a continuous 1.7-mile long wall, but withdrew the application last year. Now, the resort will build a line of two low, concealed seawalls on the landward side of a public beach to prevent storm waters from eroding three holes of the course. One wall will be 2,000 feet long and the other 840 feet long
Although some residents supported the plan, hoping ***** would continue to invest money in the property and boost the small town's opportunity for employment, environmentalists strongly opposed the move.
Environmentalists said the new walls could damage a popular public beach and the vulnerable dunes and health. Other residents said the walls could alter tidal flows and reroute the storm surges onto their properties, according to the Times.
Eamon Ryan, the leader of the Irish Green Party opposed the walls, saying the party is considering appealing the decision.
"The best advice we had was that it would be better to move the golf holes farther inland, where there's room for them, rather than disrupt the beach," Ryan said.
The 38,000-thousand ton barrier would protect holes one, nine and 18, the Independent reported.
Joe Russell, the general manager of ***** Doonbeg, is happy with the decision and said the resort is excited to expand.
In the first application, ***** cited "global warming and its effects," including rising sea levels and water erosion, as reasons for the wall, Politico reported, despite his statements calling global warming and climate change "a total hoax." Global warming was not listed as a reason in this application.
