The Navy made him a corpsman and he saw some of the worst ground combat of the war.

He was a Corpsman though, certain jobs in the Navy make u eligible to be attached to a Marine unit. Most Navy jobs are chill. The Coast Guard is probably the coolest branch of them all imo.

It depends who the enemy was. I wouldn't know how to reconcile my loyalty to civilization itself if we went to war with Russia/China. The past few decades we've watched an extreme role reversal take place. I couldn't stomach helping to spread the far-left & third-world ideologies that dominate the modern west.
