The reason i'm asking is because i think Cathy Freeman winning that Gold in Sydney would be high on most people's lists.

Cathy winning gold was fantastic but the only reason it's number 1 is because she was aboriginal. It was just a gold medal. Number 1 for me has to be Aloisi's goal to make World Cup. All that history of not making it and for it all come to that one moment of time. It could of gone so many other ways. Also Uraguay were a world class team. I honestly believe if we best Italy we win the World Cup. To lose the way we did was heart wrenching. We will never have a football team who's that good ever again.

Totally agree that was a great side, Viduka was a beast and i am a Glasgow Rangers fan so Craig Moore was a personal favourite, absolute rock in defence!
