I lost my temper at work?

This was in the work environment, a colleague came and irritated me and I got ****ed off so bad I lost my cool which was quite bad and unprofessional (I know), so I started giving him gestures and taunting him and asked for a fight after work outside the gates, he insisted and said he was keen.

But then we resolved it later and everything seemed all good but now I feel embarrassed that I lost my temper real bad.

I'm thinking of not going in work tomorrow and just go in the day after.

    Any advices/suggests?

You asked him for a fight during work? Outside the gates of where you work? Sure you weren't at High School? Lmfao that's ***in funny.

How did he irritate you specifically?

Also, what where these gestures exactly? I can't laugh at this story very well with such little detail.

Is he a rival of yours and you've never forgiven him for Summer '04?

Not going to work tomorrow won't stop them firing you for naughty gestures at lunch queues doe...

Is there something else eating at you besides this one antagonist at work? Seems like maybe you have other things weighing on your mind and this guy was just the final straw.

I wouldn't make an issue of it at work unless someone else brings it up. If you have colleagues who you are close with and feel awkward around them, maybe pull them to the side and just explain that you reached a saturation point with this individual and that you won't lose your shyt at work again.

Meanwhile, work on whatever it is that is gnawing at you. It's typically not just one thing or one person who causes us to lose our composure. If it is just him, then don't let him get under your skin again. Otherwise, he wins. Don't let him win.

Go drink, smoke, inhale, go for run. Go do something to ease your mind. You said it has been settled already so why sweat it?

Don't skip work tommorow, it'll make you look like you feel guilty. Which you do, but you don't want others to to know that.

Go to work like nothing happened, if somebody asks you what and why it happened just laugh it off/turn it into a joke.

Nothing physical happened, was more of threatening and taunts.

He also insisted and said he was keen but we talked and cooled it off.
