if he hangs on to beat aaron, he will probably pass 3000. im done arguing about him, we agree to disagree. it's sad to see a 300 hitters have their avg dip below that at the end though, it happened to mickey mantle, and almost to mays. mickey said that was one of his biggest regrets because he always considered himself a 300 hitter.
