What do you think about the Wolly Mammoth being resurrected?

Seems like scientist are close on bring this pre-historic animal back into existence. There are plenty of well preserved carcasses that have surfaced over the years and they even have a small sample of blood. The idea of cloning this animal is intriguing since they died off thousands of years ago and they are massive but is this a good idea? Thoughts?

Depends on how it tastes. What's the point of bringing it back otherwise?

Yeah. Majority of the well preserved carcasses that have popped up are in Russia but they have found others around the world since the world was a lot colder place back then.

South Korea are the ones that are really trying hard to resurrect them. They have deals with russian archeologists to pay them top dollar for any well preserved carcass they find. They are saying they want to do it so it can lead to other instinct species being resurrected but some say South Korea are doing it because of how valuable their tusks are. People literally pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for their tusk and they can also make a lot of cheap stuff that they can sell from that.

                Really don't see the point.

I can see as far as a "Yeah, we brought an extinct species back" type of endeavor.

It would go back to extinct status as fast as it came back even in a wild life preserve, I have a feeling.

We have become pretty good at killing things for profit since the last one of these roamed the planet.

                    This makes sense to me.

However, those woolly ****ers died out naturally. Personally, I would get started cloning endangered species and animals that a victim of uncontrolled poaching.

Bring back something that's already dead while the living are being killed off everyday is a little whack to me.
