Pain isn't that scary. Terrible, yes, but some things go beyond it. Will is one of them.

Some people don't fear death. If I'm already feeling the pain, there is nothing else to fear. I will take it for granted that my death is coming in a horrible way. How they torture me is irrelevant at that stage.

Breaking them, however, is all that holds relevance. We'll see how they do at verifying my information without suffering losses. If I knew anything I could use to set them up for death, I most certainly would.
