I agree. Since GNR broke up, their albums are no longer phenomenal. In fact, they never were.

I liked the guys live, cause they were damned good to watch. But they offered nothing substantially unique as far as their music, really. They were all sub-standard players, including Slash, and really couldn't claim to have influenced anyone. Recall, Slash is sometimes regarded as an "influential" guitarist, but he never created anything truly his "own", since he was nothing more than a collection of other great guitar player's licks, used over and over again. Nothing innovative.
