Both so called political parties are different sides of the same coin.

But what Im not grasping is how can you be for smaller government and less spending when they are war hawks and want to fight in any conflict big or small.

**********s haven't shrunk the size of of the federal government since Calvin Coolidge back in the 1920's. ********s have been responsible for getting us into most of the major wars over the last century. WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam. Politicians of both parties make campaign promises that they have no intention of keeping. Hope that helps.

I think they have gotten some small level of the military privately owned basically with groups like Blackwater or w/e they changed their name to by now. So I suppose if a GOP guys dream were to come true you could probably get a job fighting in a war in a country of your choosing that we are at odds with like you could get a job at Walmart & there wouldn't need to be the government supported military like there is now. Thing is this military industrial complex is in deep with the government so thats not gonna be a quick change & I think they just got on this "privatise" everything kick in the last decade or two hardcore.

Have plenty of "enlightened" ideas as u put it. I hate both US political parties. Money is the only deciding factor here. I dont think China is doing to well at being a Super Power. Their financial bubble is about to burst. We already seen the Soviet Union rise and fall and Im not worried about Russia on the other side of the world. So whats ur point?

I made this thread after watching the ********** Debate and hearing how the candidates are still talking that small government bull****.

I will not vote in National Elections for the foreseeable future but please, no political dynasties.

Jsmith, have you looked into the Libertarian Party?

They call for small government and more individual rights and liberties.

Instead of not voting because you hate the 'Big 2', find a Party you do like and vote for them. That's the only way to break up our 2 Party system.
