I dunno man, the dude had some sort of crisis. He's had a number of public breakdowns and incidents in recent memory. My guess is (per usual) drugs have played a role somewhere in it along the line.

He has some serious issues, its pretty sad though to see anyone with mental illness like this. Hope he can get better. Robert Downey Jr is an example of someone who was acting crazy and weird out of his mind and drugged up, who changed his life completely. Maybe Shia will follow suit and turn out like him instead of another hollywood tragedy

What happen to this guy? I remember years ago he was becoming one of those actors that chicks were drooling for, a lot of young girls thought he was handsome, now he looks like a homeless smelly dude with face piercings.
