I wouldn't consider it a waste of my time. the thread was made and I remember where I was when it happened. I was in basic training (AIT) and some instructor who was from Texas felt I should know because I'm Mexican.

Then I told him I wasn't from Texas and never heard of her. I've since heard more about her and I'm still not impressed.

I still wouldn't wish what happened to her on anyone. So whats you problem?

okay cool, let us pretend that true.

you added nothing positive to a thread celebrating someone life. so why did you fell the need to express those thoughts when taking the time to express them are actually contradictory to your statements.

      you said

(you didnt know who she was and dont care now)

but care enough to post in a thread dedicated to her and subsequently reply to replies lmfaos.

      lmfao you care!

No problem at all. I just didn't understand why you posted about her if you didn't care, but now i know. Carry on.

                Mexican Americans and tragedy

                1. Greatest male(Ritchie Valens) and female(Selena) singers died tragically.

                2. Greatest football player(next to Anthony Muņoz), Gabe Rivera, was paralyzed in a car crash.

                3. Greatest boxer, Tony Ayala, cut his career very short and went to prison.

                4. Our greatest politician, Henry Cisneros, ended his rapid rise with an affair.

Incidentally, #'s 2, 3 and 4 are from San Antonio. All were from South Texas except for Valens.

Speaking of South Texans, our most famous Mex-Am war hero, Roy Benavidez, was from Cuero right by San Antonio. If you read the story of why he was awarded the Medal of Honor you'll think that a Rambo movie was being described. The dude was absolutely dead game. As a weird anecdote, the most infamous Mex-Am serial killer was Richard Ramirez, a South Texan from El Paso.
