Commando: Great movie or greatest movie?

Great movie with one of the most over the top kill count. I think predator and running man are better though, especially the latter.

I think Running Man was the best of the lot quality wise. I watched it again about a year back and picked up on the themes that flew over my head as a kid.

Running Man

Red Heat


Total Recall & Running Man are very close though, it's basically a toss up. Excellent films when I was a kid and can still watch them today. Predator is just all around bad ass though, pound 4 pound King imo.

I just re-watched Commando for like the 50th time. It blows me away every time. The acting is impeccable. The special effects are nothing short of spectacular.

Arnold was robbed of best actor that year. Absolutely ridiculous.

Great movie but it can't be the greatest because C-O-M-M-A-N-D-O is not how you spell "Big Trouble in Little China".

Commando, predator, the running man...all staples of my 80's upbringing.

Strange movie, it was well ahead of its time and I think that producers and marketing didn't know what they had on their hands. As a result the film was a bit of a mess but still, I think it was overrated.

Commando was the Arnie film that started a huge Arnie craze in my school. Weird because we were barely 10 year olds, all watching ultra violent R rated films at home.

Although Predator etc were better films, Commando has that fun, over the top factor. If i watched it now for the first time id laugh and say its terrible, but still a lot of fun.
Surprising they didnt make a sequel.
