.....or could it be that he just makes damn good movies?

    Memento
    The Prestige
    Dark Knight trilogy
    Inception
    Interstellar

That's quite a resume the guy has already. Also, you might have not enjoyed Interstellar and TDKR but both films were box office and critical successes. I know you're a Marvel fan and I think that's where your hate towards Nolan stems from.

I haven't seen Memento. The Prestige was really good but a bit silly. Inception was a great film but not the impossible mind-fuck than Nolan's little bum-chums claim. He made a decent Batman film, a good Batman film and a risible turgid piece of shit Batman film. The Dark Knight Rises was garbage, seriously.

Interstellar had the potential to be the greatest science fiction epic in cinematic history. Instead it was a simplistic and sentimental waste of space-**** that was destroyed by the ending that rendered the rest of the movie completely meaningless.

Watch memento... It's a classic.... Very original story about a guy that can only remember stuff for a few minutes.... It starts at the end, and goes backwards.. Awesome, smart, original movie

personally, i like Nolan...he's one of the next gen great directors and i will watch his movies still. But i think Fincher's films were more cerebral than Nolan and also less pretentious

Interstellar might be shown to kids in school.

Awesome @ Nolan getting kudos for accuracy by American Journal of Physics. "The physics has been very carefully reviewed by experts and found to be accurate."

Also, this is so true. Contact really was an inspirational film for me as a child, and it helped gain my interest in to sci-fi. "Films such as Interstellar or Contact or 2001: A Space Odyssey are inspirations for young people. A number of people I trained as a physicist with got involved with science because of movies like these."

This is great, I know your point was probably to put the movie down, seeing your past opinions of it, but this is actually great for kids to watch this film.

And SP, you haven't watched Memento, please don't, lol. I don't want to read your negative posts about that great thriller.

Not at all. I agree with everything you said. I hope it inspires them young'ns.
Its sad as hell so many kids today just want to be famous. The moon landing made every kid want to be an astronaut.

The part in Interstellar where the school are teaching kids the moon landing was faked was interesting.

Give me a good film with great acting over a mind**** of a film, ala scent of a woman.

As an example of good physics or of bad writing?
