France doesn't ask for religious information on the census so there are no official figures. What there are are estimates. From declared ******s the estimate is about 2.5 million, from estimates based on ethnic origin of immigrants it is higher, around 4.5 million. These estimates are from 2011. France has a population of 65 million, so the high estimate is about 7%, the low estimate is just less than 4%.
