You can be from the right and not be conservative.. ************* make up a small portion of the right, maybe 10%. Most righties don't mind ********, gay marriage, pollution laws, etc. Most righties only care about a wasteful government that has corrupt spending at every level, sucking the money out of the economy.. That's the biggest issue righties worry about,, big centralized government that sucks the economy dry and stifles innovation.. There is a reason why hardly any innovations or technological advances come from countries with massive federal governments..

No one thinks government is bad, but the scope is an entirely different arguement.. The founding fathers realized this and that's why they tried to limit the scope of government to its bare essentials..

No, getting rid of social security is not progressive, it's a regressive move aimed at returning America to some sort of mythical golden age where the just were righteous and the poor starved to death.
