Russian doping claims: 99% of athletes guilty, German TV alleges

As many as 99% of Russian athletes are guilty of doping, a German TV documentary has alleged.
The programme claims that Russian officials systematically accepted payment from athletes to supply banned substances and cover up tests.
The documentary, shown by Das Erste, also implicates the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) in covering up the abuse.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) has said it will "fully investigate".

I doubt the figure is 99%. I do not doubt there is institutionalised doping in Russian athletics though.

Athletes use gear, plain and simple. I know someone who seen Georges St. Pierre dope back in the day in the locker room of a Montreal gym.

If you have been around real athletes even in the lower tiers they dope on the regular.

Now I'm sure 99% is bull****, but any money over half dope, and again especially in Russia. It's a corrupt state where you can walk away from murder with a bribe. You think athletes who make millions or olympic programs with immense funding can't afford to bypass doping?

Common the entire Russian weightlifting team the last olympics was "injured" because they could not pass doping tests so they decided to say the team is hurt.

Any money every single other weightlifting team was on gear as well, they just got off the gear in time to pass the doping tests.

Mekhontsev was Russia's only gold medal winner in boxing in 2012 and there was a thread on him having steroid acne.
