          I was once walking a 220 lb brute of a dog I had and a three legged one eyed Chihuahua came charging out to attack him. The owner came out and grabbed him before my dog ate him. I said he only has three legs and one eye. To which the man replied, "yeah, he does this a lot!"

                    Can you explain to me mimicry where one species attains the look of an unrelated type of animal? I get it in most cases where the species which most closely resembles the model doesnt get eaten and as the process continues it becomes closer and closer in appearance to the model. Something like caterpillars who appear to have snake heads seems more complex and is not as easy for me to explain.
