I gotta roll with Charles Martel - the Frankish king in the early 700's.

The way he clobbered the ******s at the Battle of Tours likely changed the course of history, and kept Islam from taking over Europe.

He literally stopped the ******s in their tracks, as the Moors had taken over Spain, and Islam was starting to slowly progress into mainland Europe.

But Martel put the kibosh on that...
