Is the Hip Hop Culture a Good or Bad thing?

Not just rap music in general but that whole lifestyle. I see more and more the mainstream being heavily influenced by the hip hop culture. How you dress, how you talk using hip hop culture lingo, the music you listen to, the crowd of people you hang out with, even celebrities or musicians of other genres, whenever they decide they want to be "cool" it seems like the go to move is to go the hip hop route.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I'd ground my kid for 2 weeks if he ever came home with an Eminem or a Lil Wayne poster. The hip hop culture is full of bad influences.

The bad outweigh the good. I haven't been into Hiphop for years, I thought it was supposed to be in decline the last couple of years anyway.

back then, i understood what NWA was rapping about. same with krs one, public enemy. 2pac was for all of his crazy antics, made great songs. i mean wtf do rappers rap about nowadays?

i mean even rappers back then had style. biggie was always d****d in versace. he dressed like a boss. He had a clean cut. if a impressionable young kid saw that, they would try to be successful and dress in versace.

today? wtf? lil wayne? gucci mane? chief keef? what would young kids think?

They're out there but the radio stations don't give them any airtime. All the airtime goes to the weak new age bubble gum rappers.
