    Multiple choice poll.

Also, these are broad categories. So, wrestling includes all styles. Weightlifting includes Olympic style, strongman, power lifting, etc. Etc.
    That's utterly ridiculous.

Then the answer is all of them but for different reasons.

Of course the most demanding sports are the ones with the most money riding on them. Because the most lucrative sports attract the best athletes.

I maintain that ball sports for the most part are not on a level plain with the core fundamental sports.

Playing a game of basketball is not as demanding as swimming or distance running or wrestling, all things being equal.

The sports I listed are primal sports. By being based narrowly on core fundamental aspects of human motion, they require the most purity of athletic exertion.

Boxing is an exception perhaps, but this is a boxing forum. Also, boxing is a very primal sport, but a specialized one.

Weightlifting might be sort of outside the billing, but lifting and carrying heavy objects is a primal endeavor as well.

Yes it is. And I hate basketball. Each game requires dozens of hours of hard physical and skill training.

            Wrestling? Boxing?

Then the greatest athletes are those chubby mongs who do the World's Strongest Man comps.

"People who play games with balls" are most certainly great athletes.

But if I was going to pick the most difficult individual sports to compete in, it would be a tie between Boxing and the Decathlon.

                So I'm a bit biased.

                Sue me why don't you.

I'm curious, were you much of an athlete growing up? Which sports was it that you excelled at?
