There's really no question that it was premeditated. The facts of his action are, he premeditated (pre planned, thought out, etc). These weren't spontaneous killings, but premeditated. Him saying he parked his truck down the road to give the illusion that nobody was home proves that it was premeditation. Setting out the recorder, camping oitbwith his guns and supplies, etc.

That said, premeditation holds no bearing on if it was justified or not IMO(generally speaking, in the cases of preventive defense, etc). But really, this dude is just a sadistic *** who deserves what's came. He stated he knew who the kids were, suspected them, incapacitated them, then killed them. He didn't kill them out of defense, but because he's a phaggot.

None of this to say that the kids weren't idiots in the first place, and generally speaking killing and intruder in your home is acceptable in some cases. So that's the risk they took. Play ****** games, win ****** prizes.

If you break into someone's house, you run the risk of being killed. Thats part of the deal. Zero sympathy for the kids.

But saying that, you're not allowed to kill people who aren't a threat to you. You can't shoot someone in the head because they stole a Hot Pocket, ya know? There are boundaries, which he clearly crossed in doing this.

That they say it was premeditated, does this mean that anyone with a gun in their house will now be accused of premeditated murder for shooting a burglar?

No. This wasn't a case of owning guns for protection and using them on an intruder. This was a deliberate act, the area where he performed the murders was described as being set up like a deer hide, he had determined to stay there hidden with snacks and a book waiting for the opportunity to kill somebody.

There's a clear distinction between owning guns to protect yourself and your property and owning guns for the express purpose of shooting to death the next person who comes into the house.

Like I said he was initially arraigned on second degree murder charges based on the fact that he shot the two people and instead of calling for help after incapacitating them finished them off with point blank head shots. It was later upgraded to first degree after evidence emerged of his hiding spot and of his use of a tarp to protect his carpet. Somebody who genuinely believes that their life is being threatened (which is the test for self defense, even within your own home) is not worried about their carpet.

The problem is that he, like many others, believes that the lax gun laws in the US would protect him if he engaged in a cold-blooded murder. Self defense means defending yourself, this was an extrajudicial execution.

It was definitely premeditated as far as I can see. He sort of lured them in. I mean they got what they deserved, but he did it all in a bad bad way. One slime ball off to die in jail and 2 other slime balls 6 feet under.

Not a bad day.

As you know I'm opposed to capital punishment, but even in the US they don't ever execute for property crimes. So in no way can the two victims be described as getting "what they deserved".
