    Brad Pitt....Overrated or Underrated???

I must confess.....I actually really like Brad Pitt movies. Sure he's got some ****** ones (Devils Own, Meet Joe Black, Mr and Mrs Smith, Troy, Oceans 2 and 3, etc.

But check his resume out....it's A LOT deeper then you would think.

    Thelma & Louise
    Legends of the Fall
    Seven
    12 Monkeys
    Sleepers
    Fight Club
    Snatch
    Ocean's Eleven
    Babel
Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
    Burn After Reading
    Curious Case of Benjamin Button
    Inglourious Basterds
    The Tree of Life
    Moneyball
    Killing Them Softly
12 Years a Slave (though minor)

He's got a couple other decent movies like Seven Years in Tibet, World War Z, Spy Game as well.

I say underrated because most people seem to focus on his personal life, rather then his movies. He's rarely mentioned with some of the better actors around, and is often seen as just a "movie star" as if he was Harrison Ford, Piers Brosnan in the 90's, Mark Wahlberg level. But he's actually had very good roles, and has been able to show range, especially for someone who's so often over looked as a good actor.

Legends of the Fall, Seven, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Jesse James, Babel, Benjamin Button, and Moneyball were all Oscar caliber/nomination worthy performances. Yet he only has 3 Oscar nominations, which is still iiiiight.

Very overrated, he's a movie star, not a good actor

It honestly depends on who you're talking to.

I consider him fairly accurately rated, but I think that the 'Oceans' series was utterly ******ed and predictable. I also think that 'Seven' was nothing special.

His best works were 'Fight Club', 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', and 'Babel', IMO.

      Overrated.

Prime Clooney is a much bigger dish.

Seven was awesome mannnnnn....maybe the best serial killer movie not named Silence of the Lambs.

But I agree, it depends on who you talk to. I highly recommend The Assassination of Jesse James.... if you haven't seen it.

Meh. I thought it was quite a tedious watch, and Pitt's character was the worst of the main three (the others of course being Spacey and Freeman). It definitely didn't have me on the edge of my seat like TSOTL did and I thought that his (Pitt's) acting in the final scene (the box) was particularly cringeworthy,

We all have differing opinions, though.

                I liked Troy.

I prefer Troy over several of the movies you listed to be honest.

I loved that movie. I thought it was one of his best performances. He should have had an Oscar nom that year.

Different strokes. I couldn't get into Troy. Seeing Brad Pitt play Achilles, and then having the horrible Orlando Bloom in the movie. The only scene I liked was in the beginning when he says "Is there no one else???!!!!" and when he kills Hector and drags the body. I could watch it I guess.
