What language do they think in?

Depends on what country they are born in. In the US, most are taught american sign language. But it's far more comlicated than that.
Deaf culture is very deep, and all the info about the world they aquire goes in only through their eyes, and is much more limited. Hearing and deaf people live in 2 very different worlds.

As far as what language they think in, i think (from experience working with them for 8 years), they don't think so much in terms of words, rather, they reflect-rely on what they've learned about the world, and the info that the eyes intake.

Body language, eye contact, body movement all play a crucial role in how they think. They use sign language to communicate, not so much as to think. I think they rely on instinct and experience. Also they rely on feelings, careflully.

You can spend many years studying deaf people-culture and there is always somthing new to learn.
