In terms of influence and legacy nobody can beat the Beatles. But in terms of who I like to listen to I have them ranked as follows:

the rolling stones
the beatles
the doors
pink floyd
led zeppelin
u2
the who

i personally love all these bands except led zeppelin who iv'e never really liked but who i can respect

I started listening to Zepplin recently and they are great.

Never was into them before.



Never heard a Who song that i really like, Stones are great, Floyd are fab, blah blah Beatles.

this is based on record sales and im pretty sure the doors have sold more records than the beach boys

I was raised with my father telling me The Rolling Stones were/are the Greatest Rockin Roll band of all-time so I picked them.....Personally I like U2 and Aerosmith better but you did not even have Aerosmith as a choice.Pink Floyd is great to me too but I don't think they have the universal following some of these other bands do as far as fan diversity.I don't think the Beatles are all that great I like some of their stuff but I really don't see what all the hoopla was about.
