Lebron is more like Magic than Jordan......the way he plays the game.

Once Lebron gets to say....3 rings, I think we can start talking about him being in the Top 5-10 like Kobe.

      the numbers tell me so.
You can make a better argument for Kareem > Jordan since he can at least match Jordan in accolades, stats, ect.

and he did fine in the handcheck era.

you need to look up spurs, kings, blazers series those years.

also look up road games vs. home games.

        you'd be surprised.

ppl have this misconception because shaq dominated finals (weaker west teams with few big men)

the title was won in west 2nd round or west conf finals those years.

            22-6-5
            28-6-5
            25-5-5
            30-7-6

But hey, he was just along for the ride. How many titles did MJ win by himself???

You need other people to win the NBA. Lebron never won until he went to Miami.
i think ppl who say that only watched finals.

they don't know that kobe carried the team against teams with a lot of big men (spurs, kings, blazers) especially on the road.

shaq was great but when challenged, usually shrank from the moment.

when it's easy, he dominates but when the going gets hard, he tries to find scapegoats.

One season after the total removal of hand-checking (2005-06 season) the NBA recorded its worst defensive season since its beginning in terms of defending perimeter players; ten players averaged above 25PPG (points per game), see below:

you do realize that all these new rules to help scoring is to get scoring back to 80's, early 90's level right?

because defenses got so good, scoring went down.

and even with hand check rule scoring is still below back then.

                kobe avg 30-6-7 in 2003.

looked like he did ok with handchecks to me.

people love Jordan because once the other powerhouses at the time (Showtime, green turds, Bad Boys), faded away, there was nothing else but the Bulls...he took advantage of aggressive marketing by Nike and a weak era
The 80's Lakers, Celtics, and Pistons haf superior talent to the Bulls. The 90's was a better era than the early 2000's and now. The Lakers couldn't win **** in the late 90's with a loaded team. Remember when the Jazz and Spurs seemed to sweep the Lakers every year? Jordan and the Bulls would kick any version of the Lakers with Kobe and Shaq or Gasol asses all over the court. The Bulls would pimp slap the Heat too. The ccurrent NBA is a shadow of what it used to be. 6 for 6 in the finals, 6 time finals MVP, 5 time MVP, 3 leading scorer in NBA history while playing 15 years in the league.

I respect the hell out of Kobe. He's the only active player that you can put in the discussion with Jordan. However, he's no Jordan. There's no shame in that because Jordan is the GOAT. It pisses me off when people try to compare Le***** James to MJ. That **** is blasphemy.

phil would have courted much more controversy if he said kobe was better then Michael, and thus would have sold more books. i think he's just being honest.
