This is BS, those idiots can be tagged with multiple charges. Assault is the simple charge, kidnapping, false imprisonment and torture. There may be a few other charges.

You can not look down on other people when you were a criminal yourself. I understand if you've changed and cleaned up your life and are now preaching, but I am not buying it. You are either a street thug with thousands of fights under your belt or good guy who goes by the law.Originally posted by -Kev- View PostAs a matter of fact, weren't you a gang ****er?

well that 15 years they were worried about may end up applying to everyone who took part in that "intervention" period of time.
You are looking at possible Kidnapping, Forced Confinement, Assault and child neglect among other charges.
They could get locked up for life. So dumb to them upload a clip of it. It reminds me of these crimes involving these group **** kids who upload pics of passed out teen girls online. At least it makes prosecuting them easier.
What the kid did was dumb. Yes they got emotional over it. Then went way too far and went well and far beyond the dumb stunt the kid did. Not smart at all.

With regards to the OP, there's more than one thing going on. Firstly that fifteen years? Nobody is going to get 15 years for a simple theft, not even in the Lunatic States of America. So it looks like she's worried about the Three Strikes Law (because it would be injudicious to put someone in prison for a quarter of their natural lifespan if it wasn't based on the rules of baseball.) Now as much as I disagree with the three strikes rule because it ends up with people being jailed for unfeasibly long periods for such crimes as, for example, stealing a $2 set of headphones, it does mean that she has probably been in trouble with the law before. A fact that may not be immediately obvious from her demeanour.
Secondly yes, she may face a long time in jail for someone else's theft. Luckily she isn't going to face any jail time at all for kidnapping, battery, child endangerment and uttering death threats. Oh...
Thirdly, and this is the part that disgusts me, this kid is not in trouble for the theft. The stealing doesn't matter to these clowns. It's the fact that he could have got the mom into trouble, that's what has made them angry. They wouldn't give a crap if he stole the headphones on his own. Which is pretty sad really.

If they were that pissed off then they should've just called the cops and informed them of the situation, but people like the family in this video see that as "snitching" and instead, opt to record ******ed **** like this as their form of "justice" instead.
From my understanding, the kid stole something from the dollar store and put it in that woman's purse. A misdemeanor, at best. The family treated him like he'd hidden a goddamn body under their floorboards or something. When they found out, they should've either called the cops (unlikely, I know ) or just cut ties with the ****** prick.
What they shouldn't have done was hold him against his will in their home so that they could assault him in a 3-on-1 scenario and upload it to the internet.
Hopefully this video makes it's way to the proper authorities (the ones these 'tards should've contacted to begin with) and the 3 assailants in the video end up having to explain their ******ed actions to a judge.
