It also says this was in Korea. The roads are crazy in Korea. I knew a guy from college that got hit by a taxi riding his bicycle there, and I've almost been hit by motorcycles when stepping off the curb as they swerved around cars. The first time I went to Seoul, I was riding the bus from the airport and there was a fucking bus just like the one I was riding in crashed on the side of the highway.
