Plenty want to live here. Plenty do come here.

        Irish in England

In 2001, there were 674,786 people in England (1.4 per cent of the population) who had been born in Ireland. This is the greatest concentration of Irish-born—as distinct from persons of Irish ancestry—abroad anywhere in the world and was equivalent to 12.1% of the population of the island of Ireland (5.6 million) in 2001.

        12% says Ireland sucks.

Purely because lack of job's, and that 2001 census is most likely a throwback to earlier depressions during the 80's and what not. why do you think so many of them identify with being Irish when they are over there? People immigrated to England for one reason, it was a lot closer than Australia and USA. A good few of my aunts and uncles had to go to England for work, did they do it because they loved England or some other ****, no. Apart from the lack of jobs and the ****heads who run the country, is Ireland a **** place to live? Truthfully it isnt. Anyways, yall must have forgot that five years ago Ireland was one of the fastest growing countries in the world, regardless of what happened in recent years.

Whats with this tirade against the Irish anyways mate, are you butthurt over this thread or something?

The Irish in England are alright, axcept when they have a drink in them.

I see Irish lads getting knocked out all the time in pubs in the east end area, they have a couple of pints and get a bit lairy before getting flattened.

I repeat I have no problem with Irish people, they are good people but aren't great at many things unless some can educate me.

I did a few hours of googling Irish writers and inventions and found nothing of note.
