It's sad that this happens so often to athletes. I remember fighters like Joe Louis becoming a greeter at the door at casinos to pay his bills. The NBA and other organizations in sports should withhold a portion of the athletes money for a retirement fund like businesses do for employees. Boxing commissions should do the same. I would say promoters, but I doubt they are trustworthy.

Promoters can't be trusted to handle funds like this. The government or the boxing commissions should do it.
