It's hard to say how good Welker and Gronkowski would be on another team but when Branch went to another team he looked all but done but as soon as he had Brady throwing, he puts up back to back good years.

It's all going to come down to opinion but the numbers are so strong. This NE team has virtually no defense and if they get a ring this year, more will come. Not sure how many MVP's, SB MVP's, numbers Brady is gonna have to put up to get everyone on his side but I'm sold.

but the thing about the other receivers could just as easily be the system they run. . no other team can spread the field like the patriots. . they are able to pick you apart underneath because the deep routes they run. .

that's what opened branch up down the sideline. . they FINALLY ran a man coverage, trying to stop the underneath, and short sideline routes. . they manned the safeties up on the slot men, and branch got a step on his man and that's all he needed. . . brady did make a good touch pass, but he didn't exactly weave it in between 3 DB's 35-40 yards out. .

im giving brady mad props, because even with a good system and playcallers, you still need a poised QB. . but i just don't think he's as good as Montana, Marino, Elway, or Manning. . .

But what will make you change your mind? How many rings, mvps and numbers does he have to put up? I think this falls into the line of Sugar Ray Robinson being the greatest of all time or Henry Armstrong and no one can top them no matter what they do, not fair to today's athletes, imo.

well, you can't really compare an individual on a team, with a boxer. . .

the boxer must stand alone in the ring. . a QB has an offensive line to stand behind, receivers to throw too, and a runningback to hand the ball off too. . and he has a defense to protect his lead. . .

i understand the point you are making, though. . i still just can't buy into brady being the QB GOAT. . . No matter how many championships he wins. . . Today the rules are different, and enforced MUCH stricter. . especially pass interference. . . Receivers used to get MUGGED downfield!

Brady will end up being a top 5 QB, but I still don't think he's even the greatest of his era. . that belongs to peyton manning. . . but it's just as easy, if not easier, to make an argument for brady being the GOAT of not only his era, but of all time. . .

The Pats sure didn't look like the 30th ranked defense last night. They forced 14 plays for negative yards. They pressured the hell out of Tebow. The option did not fool them once. Nor did they bite on the play actions too much. Great job.

I guess your argument holds more weight. . because mine is jsut speculation. . im speculating that Brady would not have had near the success he has enjoyed if he played on a different team, with a different style, etc. . . There are a few indications that the Patriots would be just as good with another quality QB, though. .

Like when they went 11-5 with a the year Brady went down. . . Cassell's first year ever starting. . . He is a quality QB, no doubt, but he's nothing special. . .

Yeah but that's because Denver is a ****ty offense. They are going to have problems with Houston or Baltimore. Brady will have to shine once again.

Brady, or Brady AND his receivers and offensive line (just as much as Brady)?

This is completely ridiculous. Brady has run about 4 different offensive systems in his career, and excelled in all of them. He's had a bunch of different offensive coordinators lately, and has never missed a beat. He has proven the last few years, running a very pass heavy offense, that he can put up numbers every bit as good as Manning ever did. And Marino? Get the f*** out of here with that.

Cassell went 11-5 with a team that was a minute and thirty seconds from going undefeated, and Cassell wasn't exactly good that year, he just didn't screw up with a crapload of talent around him.
