Short version.
3.5 years ago I heard something pop in my foot. Down I went.
2.5 years later, they finally diagnose it correctly and it's this:
You have two navicular bones that fuse together as you get older. Mine did not and the two were connected by cartilage that I tore free with that POP. My posterior tibial tendon was attached to that bone and they went in removing the extra bone and reattaching the tendon to the proper place.
It looks good as I saw the incision today. Steri-strips instead of stitches.
