I engaged in lots of trash-talk when I was a pro fighter. It was great for hyping up fights for fans & selling tickets, but it got out of hand.

One time I said an opponent’s family were all thieves, pimps & ho’s. I lost the bout, & the next week his entire extended family (50+ of them) crashed my sister’s wedding, smashing up the hotel & putting the groom in hospital.

My family blamed me for this & made me pay for damages (> the fight purse!). That’s when I decided to quit the fight game.
