Is there a way to stop .gifs from showing in peoples signatures? When certain people post it lags my system and takes a while to scroll past their sig. Or is there a way to make the browser scroll past the .gifs freely when they are loading?

You can turn off sigs in: User CP > Edit options

when you scroll, don't scroll over the picture. find some place else on your page.
