So I'm watching the Simpson's right now for the first time in a very long time and I must say I remember now why I dont watch it and havent in so long. This show has nothing entertaining about it, it started out in beginning as a halloween scene, jumped to a Jumanji knockoff into a titanic type knockoff and now it's doing a Twilight knockoff. And it's only 27 minutes in, hell I bet they can fit a teen wolf knockoff in the next 3 minutes. I thought shows were supposed to be somewhat organized so you can follow it. This is just trash...........

However, it's 90s run is what I grew up on and my favorite show of all time. It used to provide brilliant social commentary as well as being hilariously cynical.
These days, it's just a ****ty Family Guy knock off with a completely different team of people assembling and writing the show. It needs to be put out of it's misery.Comment

They have had like 25 seasons now so of course it is going to lose its steam. But they definitely had the best and longest prime seasons of any other show ever. I was just watching season 9 the other day and they were some of the most memorable and funny episodes they had in my opinion. Shows like South Park and Family Guy went way downhill before that and now are just terrible. Also shows like South Park and Family Guy are way more raunchy and try to get away with a lot of offensive stuff which Simpsons never did, which to makes it even better considering it is funnier than both those shows while still being a show that parents would let their kids watch.Comment

South Park was never intended for kids it was intended for mature audiences so it's not even comparable to The Simpsons. South Park is still good but not great as it once was. I remember the Simpson's were ok back when I was 6 -12 years old which I think were actually the first 6 Seasons and then I grew up and was into South Park which blew it away and still does imo.Originally posted by sweetpea87 View Post

Spongebob. Takes a nod from the merry melodies days with some of the hysterics.
It's not super consistent, but when you come across a funny episode you will laugh your ass off.Comment

The simpsons are always at the very least entertaining. Family Guy was of the funniest things Ive ever seen in the early days but in like 07-08 when chris started talking more and they started having way too much singing on it, it got really old fast.
Sucks that these shows try to change things to make it last but all it does is kill it faster. This last season of south park had some funny ones but had some stinkers too like the gay robot comedian one.Comment
