Originally posted by Rodgers=BustI think I agree with Machete. Latino is such a vague/non-specific/general/open term. It seems like it isnt vague though when it comes to more African-based populations like in Trinidad&Tobago and Haiti. Double standards. French and Spanish are Latin languages. Like Machete said they are Romance (aka Latin) languages and these countries are in the same geographical region. In fact the Dominican Republic and Haiti share their land.
Reverse racism if you ask me.

Hispanic is an American made term. And I think its good because it ****genizes people from central, south, north America and the Caribbean islands into one group.
why is this good? well, you have so called latinos from Cuba calling themselves whites. Well, they arent. And one of the few things I tip my hat off to Fidel for was reducing racism in Cuba. Is it perfect there raciallly, nope. But but than here? Hell yes.

I can say Cali is a different from here East, because going to New Jersey there was Chinese/Arabs everywhere (as well as New York), and in Miami you wouldnt see many if any, Miami is probaly 50-70% Latino, and about 20% to 30% are Cubans...just alot of Spanish people, I mistaken everyone for Latino here...
