i have no doubt in my mind that these workers will oblige if asked to do so.

if this happened here in the states, i'm not sure i'd be as confident our workers will do the same thing.

i'm not hating, that's just how i feel about it.

      flame away.
ONe of the things I love in Japanese culture is their pride in self-sacrifices...but these courageous acts is second only from their premium chicks and school uniforms.

Same happened in Chernobyl over 20 years ago when plant workers and some soldiers were ordered in forgotten by alot but people in eastern and mainland europe owe their lives to them men that knew they were basically dying to save others.

fyi, there's no such thing as radiation-proof suits, just radiation-resistant.

                    big difference.

with the levels of radiation that's coming out of those reactors right now, no suit can handle it to the point where the workers will be safe.

that's why they have to bring the workers out every so often to check them for radiation levels.

if they're ok, they're cleared to go back in.

but the moment these reactors reach a point where they have to continuously be 'managed', that's when they have to suck it in.

                    hence the term 'sacrifice'.

robots to solve a disaster of this magnitude where the fix hasn't been diagrammed to work under the current conditions?

                    tell me you're kidding.
