Are their games for the PS3 similar to Resident evil 1-3?

No and there never will be, part of the reason Resident Evil 1-3 was so good IMO was the bad camera angle/controls, the way you had to run, stop and slowly turn before you could shoot.

They honestly don't make games like they use to.

Assasins Creed is really the only game I can get into now-a-days story line wise. Otherwise I just play GT5 or Fight Night.

Use to have games like Syphon Filter, Resident Evil, Metal Gear, etc... WTF happened?

Dead Space is about the creepiest you'll get in terms of atmosphere and a survival/horror atmosphere.

Coincidentally Dead space 2 is about to come out in a short while.

The closest game that resembles the old RE series is Silent Hill. Silent Hill hasn't changed and the latest one is coming out this year.
