Weird enough , the game room is now disabled but points were not reset so they will continue to flow and these days a 1 mil is like 1k of 2 years ago.
The exploit has been dealt with, as everyone already knows. That was not the point, nor is the issue of the reset or inflation. I'm talking about the blatant whoring and thread spamming that's been going on ever since the issue was broached.

It is not dealt with as long as the points flood the board. The inflation has already been caused and only a points reset can solve it now. Closing the game room was necessary (actually not necessary , but necessary given the fact they didn't know how to fix the problem in it as it was) but far from sufficient. Sufficient will be to reset points so no harms of the cheating will remain in tact.
It is understood that members care about their points and reps . Some are obsessive about it , it is their problem

I'm speaking of the point of this thread, which I created and thus decide, irrespective of your own agenda. I'm neither criticizing nor commenting on the points you raise, but this isn't the place for them. The idea here is to bring together the more rational elements to stem the tide of bull**** for the good of the lounge.

dupeing ruins everything....ruined diablo 2 1.09 and ruined boxing scene too.....well maybe not ruined but these constant point threads are annoying.

I found it so ironic when I learned that happened, because duping was the primary cheating problem with the first game online

Yeah, there were no anti-cheating measures at the time, that was the inaugural game on battle.net.
