My favorite race is Paris-Dakkar cross african. I remember watching that when I was like 7, and was amazed at bravery of these drivers going alone in the desert for weeks. Then I found out they actually get followed and move from camp to camp and it sorta took away from the mystique, but still a great childhood memory.
