400 murders in about 8 months. not too bad.

that means 700 for the year or so at that rate.

that's actually pretty good for the city.

murders have really gone down in l.a.


when i was in high school the lowest year in 90's was like 1500 or so.

80's were worse.... that's why I left.

Not sure, I've been to Compton a few times but did'nt see the thugs or hardcore pullers.Perhaps it wat their off week then.

See that's the thing about Compton it looks deceivingly calm. The streets always seem that way, few people out and about , ever wonder why? Another place i stay away from is Long beach way too many trigger happy youths.

actually early to mid 90's was worse than the 80's.

the murders changed too.

80's the murders were drug related. most of it was about money.

early 90's it changed to really intense gang stuff. whereas in the 80's there was a lot of murders by gangs it was generally drug or money related.

in the early 90's it was a lot of gang and race related murders.
